A community for living, a tradition of caring.
|
 |
With the addition of Town Square, West
View Manor proudly continues its tradition of unsurpassed
services and compassionate care for older adults. Designed to invoke
memories of a 1950's small town, the new assisted living community
features spacious one and two-room suites clustered around
a town square. The center of town is anchored by a non-denominational
chapel, a shopping area and a congregate spot for intellectual
and cultural interests.
Take a stroll down Main Street and stop in the Sidewalk Café
for a cup of coffee with friends. Play games or put together
a puzzle with your grandchild at Grandma's House, then treat
yourselves to an ice cream cone. Choose a card from the General
Store for a favorite friend and mail it from the Post Office.
Have your hair cut at the Beauty Salon before heading off to
watch a movie at the Theatre. Relax with a book from the Library
or listen to music at the Piano Lounge before turning off the
lights. Residents will enjoy selecting all their meals from
a menu and dining on fine china and linens. Our enormous, new
kitchens will provide for elegant meals carefully prepared and
graciously served.
Live trees, plants, and perpetual blue skies
are yours to enjoy at Town Square. Because it is under roof,
you never have to brave rain or snow. Designed by a leading
architect and built by Wooster's own Bogner Construction Company,
the 50,000 square foot enclave encourages independent living
with many options for the level of assistance that you decide
you need.
Bridges, a special neighborhood of twelve residences,
provides memory support with careful attention for the safety
of your loved one. Vigil®, a passive sensory system, monitors
the activities of the residents and alerts staff if they require
immediate attention. Because the paging is silent and unobtrusive,
Vigil® maintains the residents' privacy and dignity while keeping
them safe. People with memory loss can not call for help; our
system does it for them.
Bridges also utilizes "Snozelen", a
therapy concept for the cognitively impaired. Developed in Holland,
"Snozelen" is a contraction of the Dutch words for "sniffing"
and "dozing." A multi-sensory atmosphere incorporating sound,
scent, color and other sensory surprises, this program provides
a relaxing atmosphere that lifts depression and calms agitation.
The Snozelen corridor is a wonderful community resource for
any citizens with disabilities. Town Square sets a new standard
in elder adult care, and allows our diverse population to
socialize with one another in an appealing environment.
